Monthly Board Breaking Class Information
-
Once a month, Champions Martial Arts Grafton offers a dedicated Board Breaking Class. During this class, students will practice and perform real board breaks using proper Taekwondo techniques. Students will purchase boards and break them under instructor guidance in a safe, structured environment.
-
Board breaking is an important part of traditional Taekwondo training and plays a key role in belt testing preparation.
This class helps students:
Prepare for future belt tests
Practice proper technique, power, focus, and accuracy
Build confidence and mental toughness
See their hard work and practice come to life on a real target
Breaking a board is often a powerful moment for students and helps reinforce belief in their abilities.
-
Board breaking is directly connected to belt testing.
Students are required to perform breaking techniques at certain belt levels.
During Board Breaking Class, students can practice these techniques in advance.
Students who successfully complete their assigned breaking technique with a passing belt test score will earn their Bronze Stripe.
The Bronze Stripe shows that a student has demonstrated proper technique and readiness for belt testing requirements.
-
Boards are purchased specifically for Board Breaking Class.
Instructions on how to purchase boards will be shared prior to each class.
Students will use their purchased boards during the session.
-
Board Breaking Class sign up will be available for the entire year.
Families can plan ahead and participate consistently.
Students are encouraged to attend regularly to build confidence and improve performance.
Dates and sign up details will be communicated in advance.
-
Board breaking is not about strength alone. It is about:
Proper technique
Focus and commitment
Confidence and perseverance
Watching students successfully break a board is one of the most rewarding parts of their Taekwondo journey, and we are excited to offer this opportunity each month.
If you have any questions, please speak with a CMA Grafton instructor.
